Week 6 – Day 3

Jerk 16kg @18rpm 2min sets x5
Jerk 14kg @18rpm 7min set

Deadlifts 77.5kg 3×6
Pushups 3×15
Gs squats 40kg 25/25/30/20

Swings 24kg 60L /60R
Ab wheel 20

I focused on using my whole body in jerks.. Some reps were perfect (kb just floating up) others a bit less but I am getting in the groove of feeling them. Actually one thing I forgot to mention is that I got a bit of a stitch in my right side towards the end of my set.. I think it was because I was landing a bit too hard into the rack..Must control that!
Filmed my deadlift set.. I round my back a bit too much on the way up so i need to work on that.

    18rpm was OK to sustain?
    for your DL, you can try to put a couple of plates under the bar to raise the start by 5-10cm and film, see if it makes a difference if you have difficulties maintain a neutral back..

      Yes 18rpm was ok. Hit the rpm every minute so all good! Thanks for the dl tip. I watched a good tutorial today about deadlift technique and the cue for the rounded back was to make sure you can read in the mirror what your tshirt has written across the top.. That is agood cue for lifting the chest so i might try that before i try the slightly higher starting point.
